Bullying needs to be framed as a community issue rather than something left solely up to schools.
Students must see a consistent message from all aspects of their community.

We thoroughly enjoyed your presentation today, during our Olweus/Anti-Bullying Assembly. In addition to using very engaging audio-visual aids, you also reiterated what we'd taught our students re. how a bystander can essentially 'make or break' a situation involving bullying behavior. Thanks again! (Winter Street - Guidance Counselor)

I liked the real-world experience and how you explained the part about "stealing." It wasn't stealing if you had grabbed the soda, but was if you had grabbed the money. I could definitely see some students relating to a similar situation. I also liked your transition into the bullying aspect of it and bringing students up from the audience. I definitely saw a few students who were sincere in their apologies to their peers. (Thurmont Middle - Teacher)

The presentation was very engaging, upbeat and positive all without sounding "preachy." Both staff and students appreciated the humor, pace and content of the talk. Everyone remained actively engaged throughout the hour! (Homewood Center - School Psychologist)

Growing up I was diagnosed with dyslexia, reading and learning comprehension issues and a severe stutter. Trying to avoid being bullied and laughed at I felt most comfortable playing to role as the class clown. I'd like to think I wasn't a bad kid; I was just an embarrassed kid.

With the help of caring adults I'm now a certified life-skills facilitator who speaks to 30,000+ students (school assembly's, youth conferences, youth groups, football teams, classrooms, camps, outdoor festivals, etc…) annually. The bullying prevention assembly entitled the "Be a Hero Tour" is a ride of 100% positive music, dance, multimedia and humor mixed with the education of important life skill topics.

A common phrase from school faculty who experience this assembly is, "This is one of the greatest assembly's I've ever seen and I've seen a lot!" I truly believe that this program will greatly benefit your school if you're in need of an educational bullying prevention experience.

If you've ever been concerned about bringing an assembly to your school/organization for fear of your students not being engaged, entertained and educated DON'T WORRY WE'VE BEEN PROVEN TO HAVE YOU COVERED.
