"Be a Hero"

BULLYING PREVENTION
Picture
When I was a student, I was diagnosed with dyslexia, struggled with reading and comprehension, and had a severe stutter that required me to leave class for speech therapy. I was even told I should avoid speaking in front of people because the anxiety would be too overwhelming. On top of this, I was bullied. Back then, I could escape the bullying when I got home. Today’s students don’t have that escape - with cell phones and social media, it follows them everywhere.

The
👁️‍🗨️ "Be a Hero" bullying prevention assembly is a 45 minute, action packed program that equips, empowers, and unleashes bystanders to stand up for their school community.

Students will learn to "Be a Hero" that:
  • Helps the One - you may not be able to do everything but you can do something
  • Exits and Reports - understands the difference between tattling and reporting
  • Reaches out later - check back in with the peer
  • Owns the Culture - take responsibility and positively add to the school community

"Situation-SHIPS"

FRIENDSHIPS, RELATIONSHIPS, AND CHOICES IN A DIGITAL WORLD
Picture
📱 “Situation-SHIPS” equips students to make wise choices in friendships, relationships, and digital spaces where they often live “a second life” especially with texts, DMs, snaps, and posts flying around all the time. This program helps students make smart choices using the S.H.I.P.S.

  • Setting Boundaries: Learn how to say "no" in a kind way. Boundaries keep you safe and respected.
  • Handling Pressure: Spot peer and online pressure and know how to handle it without giving in.
  • Identifying Red Flags: Notice early signs of unhealthy or toxic behavior.
  • Protecting Your Future: Think about how choices today can affect tomorrow.
  • Strengthening Your Circle: Choose friends who build you up, not tear you down.

MOTIVATION & LEADERSHIP
Picture
Every student begins in a different place. Some already see their path, while others feel lost. 🎤 “Making the MOST of Life” is a motivational and leadership assembly that equips students to lean into their purpose and discover the impact they can make.

Using the M.O.S.T. framework, students learn:
  • Mic: Finding their voice in a noisy world
  • Opportunity: Recognizing key moments (education, caring adults, recovering from trouble, etc...)
  • Stage: Influencing the community that surrounds them
  • Tour: Owning their unique journey

Optional Feature: Students can submit anonymous feedback or commitments (perfect of Prom or Homecoming "Promise" campaigns). These can be turned into slides to display at school events.
