Our Assembly Lineup

Be a Hero - Bullying Prevention
Students learn to Be a Hero who:
  • Helps the One: You can’t do everything, but you can do something.
  • Exits and Reports: Knows the difference between tattling and reporting.
  • Reaches Out Later: Checks in with peers who need support.
  • Owns the Culture: Takes responsibility and contributes to a safe, positive school community.

Situation-SHIPS: Friendships, Relationships, and Choices in a Digital World
Students explore how to:
  • Set healthy boundaries and say “no” kindly.
  • Handle peer and online pressure without giving in.
  • Identify red flags and avoid toxic behavior.
  • Protect their digital and personal future.
  • Strengthen their circle with friends who build them up.

Making the MOST of Life: Motivation & Leadership
Using the M.O.S.T. framework:
  • Mic: Finding your voice in a noisy world.
  • Opportunity: Recognizing key moments (education, caring adults, and second chances).
  • Stage: Influencing your community positively.
  • Tour: Owning your unique journey.

Cheat CODES: Keys to Student Success
Students discover the C.O.D.E.S. to success:
  • Chill Time is Necessary: Rest fuels focus and creativity.
  • Openness is Valuable: Being teachable opens doors.
  • Determination is Powerful: Persistence beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
  • Execution is Needed: Action turns goals into results.
  • Strategic Thinking is Important: Planning ahead puts you in control of your future.
PBIS Integration
Every Rock Your Mic assembly is built to support PBIS Tiers 1–3 through storytelling, reflection, and measurable follow-up.

===
Tier 1: Building Schoolwide Culture
Focus: Universal prevention and positive climate
Students are guided through an Inward–Outward–Forward reflection framework:
  • Inward: “How am I feeling right now?”
  • Outward: “How do my actions affect those around me?”
  • Forward: “If I apply this skill to my life, how could things be different?”
Assemblies emphasize responsibility, empathy, and self-awareness — helping every student become a positive influence in school culture.

====
Tier 2: Targeted Reinforcement
Focus: Restorative skill-building for small groups
For students who need extra support, post-assembly small-group activities reinforce replacement behaviors, self-regulation, and empathy.

Programs like Cheat CODES and Making the M.O.S.T. of Life speak directly to peer leaders, student ambassadors, and students who are learning to handle pressure, decision-making, and self-control.

Teachers receive short discussion guides that help keep the message alive during class, advisory, or PBIS time.

====
Tier 3: Individual Reflection and Restorative Practice
Focus: Helping high-need students reflect, repair, and reset
Tier 3 materials include one-on-one reflection pages and journaling tools built around the same Inward–Outward–Forward structure.

These can be used in counseling sessions or by PBIS teams to update Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and replacement behavior goals.

The purpose is to help students “slow down time” — to look outside themselves, understand the ripple effect of their actions, and decide what they’ll do next.

These 2 minute short-story videos come along with a one-sheet printout and are designed to help students (aka modern-day superheros) navigate their thoughts to increase their "superhero focus" on three specific thoughts...

1) INWARD: "How am I currently doing with this life-skill?"
2) OUTWARD: "How are the people around me effected by this?"
3) FORWARD: "How would my life be different if I applied this life-skill to my life?"
