PBIS Integration
Every Rock Your Mic assembly is built to support PBIS Tiers 1–3 through storytelling, reflection, and measurable follow-up.
===
Tier 1: Building Schoolwide Culture
Focus: Universal prevention and positive climate
Students are guided through an Inward–Outward–Forward reflection framework:
====
Tier 2: Targeted Reinforcement
Focus: Restorative skill-building for small groups
For students who need extra support, post-assembly small-group activities reinforce replacement behaviors, self-regulation, and empathy.
Programs like Cheat CODES and Making the M.O.S.T. of Life speak directly to peer leaders, student ambassadors, and students who are learning to handle pressure, decision-making, and self-control.
Teachers receive short discussion guides that help keep the message alive during class, advisory, or PBIS time.
====
Tier 3: Individual Reflection and Restorative Practice
Focus: Helping high-need students reflect, repair, and reset
Tier 3 materials include one-on-one reflection pages and journaling tools built around the same Inward–Outward–Forward structure.
These can be used in counseling sessions or by PBIS teams to update Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and replacement behavior goals.
The purpose is to help students “slow down time” — to look outside themselves, understand the ripple effect of their actions, and decide what they’ll do next.
